Pho Clement: good, cheap Vietnamese noodle soups in San Francisco 28 March 09

We’re all looking for inexpensive meals, but we don’t want to compromise on flavor. Where to go in San Francisco? I know at least one place: Pho Clement, a Vietnamese restaurant in the inner Richmond neighborhood which specializes in pho (Vietnamese noodle soup). For $6.95, you get a large bowl of steaming soup, noodles, vegetables and meat of your choice. Don’t be fooled by the small / medium / large designations on the menu: the small is more than enough for lunch.

  • Vibe: typical Asian restaurant in the inner Richmond, no frills decor
  • Pros: cheap, delicious pho
  • Cons: street parking is truly horrible on Clement, park on California Street; don’t expect anything from the interior decor
