A Boutique Hotel by Eiffel Tower, Hotel du Cadran is set in the heart of Paris’ prestigious 7th arrondissement, just a few minutes away from the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars and next to the charming rue Cler, one of my favortie streets in Paris which is lined with the essential shops — wine, cheese, chocolate, pastries, bread, as well as several cafes and restaurants. It is also only a few blocks from Les Invalides, where Napoléon is entombed, as well as the École Militaire metro station. The area combines tourist attractions while still maintaining its local markets and charms.
All 42 guestrooms incorporate innovative lighting into the contemporary decor and include free WiFi service and flatscreen TVs. Rooms are relatively small, but this is Paris, and one should not stay inside. Rooms start at a reasonable (for Paris) 160 euro.
On the ground floor is the Chocolate bar of Christophe Roussel with 30 different types of chocolates including: peppermint, apple, tea, buckwheat, ginger and sea salt. The Bar also serves espresso coffee and vintage hot chocolates with a hint of vanilla or chili. If chocolate is not enough, next door is La Fromagerie Marie-Ann Cantin, one of the best cheese shops in Paris with an endless selection of cow, goat and sheep milk cheeses.
